Rebuilding King Park

Changes are coming to King Park! After a robust community planning process, the new King Park Master Plan adopted by the Urbana Park District calls for a new playground, Peace Plaza, teen hangout area with basketball courts, band shell for concerts and performances, and a new path system. The King Park Vision Book has more information about the project and the process that led to the new master plan, pictured below.

How Can I Help?

Rebuilding King Park is estimated to cost $1.5 million. The park district has already applied for two grants toward the project cost and has budgeted funds set aside. The Urbana Parks Foundation is aiming to raise an additional $100,000 in private funding to make Rebuilding King Park a reality. Join us in investing in the future of King Park!
